                        Our Philosophy  - Our practice is dedicated to providing the highest quality health care for
     women in a warm and compassionate manner. Our focus is to care for the whole patient, with
     particular emphasis on the female reproductive system, including annual pelvic exams, preventive
     health exams, treatment of abnormal Pap smears, uterine fibroids, infertility evaluations and surgery,   
     menopause, sexually transmitted diseases, HPV and venereal wart treatment, urinary leakage
     problems and all gynecological problems. We specialize in advanced gynecological surgery including
     laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, SmartLipo laser lipsuction, cellulite reduction, vaginoplasty,
     and other minimally invasive and non-invasive  procedures.   

            Dr. Goodrich’s gynecological care is different from many other practices in the area 
     because we specialize in gynecological services utilizing some of the most advanced
     technologies available, such as video pelvic examinations, digital colposcopy, advanced
     gynecologic laparoscopy, including laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy.

            Video Pelvic Exams are examinations utilizing technology which allows consenting patients
    and their partners to view their pelvic examinations on a television screen. This procedure allows
    patients to see exactly what the doctor is viewing during their examination. Digital photographs
    of the exam are available and often placed on the patients chart for present and future documentation.
    This type of exam is often very educational and instructional to both the patient and partner.
     It often helps patients to understand various disease processes ( i.e.- vaginal discharges, abnormal pap
     smears and cancer) and it helps them understand why they should continue taking and fully complete all of
     their medications. The pictures at the top of the page are examples of  typical video pelvic exams. 

             GYNECOLOGY SERVICES

 

            Some of the most advanced gynecological and cosmetic surgical services available in the area are

Digital Colposcopy – allows you to see exactly what the doctor sees as your exam is performed. This invaluable tool allows the patient to be educated about her body, her unique anatomy – both normal and any abnormalities discovered.

 

Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy- same day hysterectomy is the most advanced minimally invasive surgical procedure for removal of the uterus. Dr. Goodrich was the first surgeon in our area to perform this surgery and specializes in patients with large and small uterine fibroids, multiple previous surgeries, and difficult surgical cases.
